When you upload a picture the code <img src="filename"> appears where you left off, filename being the picture you have just uploaded, refering to its place on the server. You can move that code to move the position of the picture in your article.
If you want to put a video from youtube, you can find on youtube the code to copy and paste by clicking - on the video's youtube page the button 'embed'.
